Dear Parents and Carers,
How wonderful it is to be back in school, all together again.
The children (and staff) were so excited to be back in each other’s company, that there have been a lot of smiles and giggles shared. Our starting focus is to make sure that everyone is happy and comfortable returning to school so that they are in a good place to enjoy their learning. Thank you for all that you have done during lockdown to continue your children’s learning. I hope that you are now enjoying some well-earned peace and quiet – or perhaps you’re missing the Wake up to Learning sessions and the learning packs!
I would like to welcome back into Exford School, Gail Westwood. She has returned to the school staff in a slightly different role from the one she held previously. She has been appointed to the role of 1:1teaching assistant and lunchtime supervisor, and it is great to have her back.
This half term, until Easter, we have CREATION as our Christian value. We have been looking at our beautiful world and considering how we can and should look after it. I am hoping that we might be able to return to some gentle singing very soon and there are lots of excellent songs about creation that we will be able to enjoy together.
Thank you for adopting the use of face coverings on site. I hope that it will make things even safer for everyone especially when waiting in the playground. You will find attached to this Newsletter, a Coronavirus Fact Sheet, which we will be going through with the children. It gently tells them the facts about the virus and will be posted around the school building.
Please keep in touch and let me know of any concerns, comments or ideas that you may have.
Stay safe and God bless,
Cutcombe and Exford Church of England First School
